Circular Decision Intelligence

The right circular
decision – even with
no data yet.

Midori360 helps industrial companies define their circular economy strategy at product level – and gets more precise as their data matures.

Product category Sealing / Spring
Primary material Rubber + Steel
Weight class 1–10 kg
Current end-of-life Bulk recycling
Decision driver New revenue
Recommendation
Primary – Repair
Rubber renewal / steel frame retention (Air Springs)
Mode A / Medium · proxy ±40%
Flip trigger: If return rate <12% or rework cost >€85/unit → recycle becomes primary
Next action – 30 days
Pilot with 200 returned units. Map rework time + test cost.

Product logic

Six phases. One clear recommendation.

The engine runs a structured reasoning chain – from hard constraints to specific next actions. Every step is visible. Every assumption is labeled.

0
Must-Have Gate Filter, not score
Regulatory obligations, safety constraints, customer requirements, and strategic guardrails are applied first. Products with active gates skip prioritization and go directly to strategy with forced and excluded paths pre-loaded. Example: a recycling regulation in Australia routes Transportbänder directly to a recycle strategy – no scoring needed.
1
Portfolio Prioritization 2×2 matrix
For products without mandatory gates: which to analyze first? An Impact × Feasibility matrix produces four clear outcomes – Start now, Unlock feasibility first, Schedule as Priority 2, or Design for Circularity in the next product generation.
2
Data Maturity Assessment Mode A–D
The engine determines which data mode applies and captures the customer's decision driver – cost reduction, new revenue, compliance, or circular transformation. This shapes confidence level, proxy logic, and the output narrative.
3
Strategy Generation
Candidate strategies are generated across two buckets that are never mixed: short-term recovery strategies for existing products and return streams, and long-term transformation strategies for the next product generation. Three sequential filters determine which strategies qualify.
4
Dual-Track Evaluation
Business and Circularity are evaluated independently – never merged into a single score. Their relationship is the strategic insight. When both tracks align, the engine states this explicitly. When they diverge, the tension is surfaced and explained.
5
Decision Output
Nine required fields – always present, regardless of data mode. Primary recommendation, reasoning block, track alignment, evaluation table, flip trigger, data gaps, and a concrete next action doable in 30 days. No optional fields. No traffic lights as primary output.

Phase 1 – Portfolio prioritization

Impact × Feasibility matrix

Works in Mode A – no structured data required. Four possible outcomes, each with a clear action.

Impact HIGH
P1
Start now
Impact HIGH · Feasibility HIGH – immediate analysis and pilot
Unlock feasibility
Impact HIGH · Feasibility LOW – identify and remove the blocker first
Impact LOW
P2
Schedule after P1
Impact LOW · Feasibility HIGH – queue when P1 is complete
Design for Circularity
Impact LOW · Feasibility LOW – no short-term path. Next product generation.
Feasibility HIGH
Feasibility LOW

Data maturity

Works from day one. Improves as you do.

The same engine structure runs across all four modes. What changes is precision and confidence – not the logic.

A
No data
Four categorical inputs only. The engine infers everything from its reference library – ecoinvent, IDIS, APRA, TecDoc.
Low / ±40%
B
Guided estimates
Weight, material %, return rate, cost ranges – filled in manually. Calculated from estimates + benchmarks.
Medium
C
Structured data
ERP, PLM, service, warranty, returns data connected. Real customer data, benchmarks for remaining gaps.
High
D
Live operational
Outcomes, failure rates, real margins – fed back continuously. Self-calibrating from actual results.
